Cook Inlet Tribal Council shares donated Ugg boots

Cook Inlet Tribal Council Inc., the social services arm of Cook Inlet Region Inc., will share about 2.900 pairs of Ugg boots with needy families.

Cook Inlet is working with Kids in Distressed Situations Inc. to distribute donated goods in Alaska. "The trendy factor aside, it was a pretty happy surprise that it was something that was so warm," spokesperson Minta Montalbo told The Anchorage Daily News.

A pair of Ugg boots can go for upwards of $200.
