All 10 Democratic candidates for governor of Minnesota are scheduled to attend a forum on Indian issues tonight.
Several groups, including the Native Vote Alliance of Minnesota and the Wellstone Action Fund’s Native American Leadership Program, are sponsoring the event. But no Republican candidates are attending.
“It seems a bit disingenuous to claim that a program is non-partisan when only feeble (if any) attempts were made to get representation from all gubernatorial candidates,” a campaign coordinator for a Republican candidate said in an e-mail, The Bemidji Pioneer reported.
Six Republicans are running for governor.
