The Interior Department is holding its final session on a new tribal consultation policy this week.
The sessions began in December, after President Barack Obama
directed all federal agencies to come up with a tribal consultation policy
within 90 days.
DOI scheduled seven meetings across the country to hear from tribes.
The final session takes place in Palm Springs, California, on Thursday, in conjunction with the 2010 Western Indian Gaming Conference.The last day to submit written comments is Friday, January 15.
