Robert War Club, a former criminal investigator for the Fort Peck Tribes of
Montana, was sentenced to life in prison on a first-degree murder charge.
War Club, 49, was convicted of killing Richard Green on the reservation in April 2006. Federal prosecutors said the crime was connected to War Club's money problems, his trafficking of methamphetamine and his addiction to prescription pain pills.
. War Club was also ordered to pay $5,466 in restitution.
