Dry Creek Band considers development projects
The Dry Creek Band of Pomo Indians is weighing options for a 25-acre site near Petaluma, California.

Possibilities include a baseball stadium, a hotel or a service station. Chairman Harvey Hopkins said the tribe hasn't made any decisions yet.

“We don’t have a real plan, but we’ve been meeting with local leaders to come up with something that the community wants, and that would also be economically advantageous to the tribe,” Hopkins told The Petaluma Argus-Courier.

The tribe submitted a land-into-trust application to the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 2006 but it doesn't appear a decision has been made.
