The Blackfeet Nation of Montana is set to receive a $4 million earmark under the fiscal year 2010 Defense Appropriations Act.
Pikuni Industries will use the money to develop and test new lightweight materials for use in missile construction.
Sen. Max Baucus (D-Montana) and Sen. Jon Tester (D-Montana) support the earmark.
The Senate passed the bill on Tuesday. It will be reconciled with the House version.
