Oglala Lakota College in South Dakota reported a record-high enrollment of 1,804 students.
The large student body means the college is running out of space, President Thomas Shortbull said.
A Department of Housing and Urban Development grant of $800,000 will pay for an expansion of the Rapid City Extension Center, located off the reservation.
The college is based on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
