The National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., will host an Indian law conference on Friday, November 13.
The agenda includes sessions on land-into-trust, criminal and civil jurisdiction and bankruptcy.
Hilary Tompkins, a member of the Navajo Nation who is the first Native woman to serve as Solicitor of the Department of Interior, is scheduled to deliver the keynote.
The conference is organized and sponsored by the Federal Bar Association, the National Native American Bar Association and the Native American Bar Association of Washington, D.C.
