A federal jury found Robert War Club, a former chief criminal investigator for the Fort Peck Tribes of Montana, guilty of first-degree murder.
War Club, 49, was charged with killing Richard Green on the reservation in April 2006. Prosecutors said the crime was connected to War Club's money problems, his trafficking of methamphetamine and his addiction to prescription pain pills.
War Club faces life in prison. He will be sentenced on January 7, 2010.
