Murder charges over stabbing of Umatilla man
Three people, ages 17, 18, and 19, have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation of Oregon.

Manuel Nomee, 23, was killed on Sunday evening in Pendleton. Authorities said the crime was not gang-related despite rumors on the reservation that it was.

Waylon James Speedis, 19, is being held on a $1 million bond. He is charged with first-degree assault and murder.

His younger brother, Cody G. Speedis, 17, and Tyler J. Neff, 18, are charged with v. Both pleaded not guilty.

All three defendants are Indian. Pendleton is not on the reservation.
