A man from the Omaha Reservation in Nebraska was sentenced to 51 months in prison and three years of supervised release for beating his wheelchair-bound wife.
Roman Harlan, 24, pleaded guilty to a charge of committing an assault resulting in serious injury. He said he didn't remember attacking his wife, Catherine, 37, as she held the couple's four-month-old child.
Catherine Harlan was in a wheelchair at the time of the March 29 attack because she had previously suffered a stroke.
