The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians is changing the focus of its outlet mall in southern California.
The tribe is adding a bowling alley to the Viejas Outlet Center. It's part of an effort to add entertainment and other options to the facility, which already host concerts, a fireworks show and a skating rink.
“What doesn't work anymore is just retail shopping,” Peter M. Cortese, the general manager of the outlet center and vice president of property management for the tribe's business arm, told The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The bowling alley will feature 12 lanes and a bar.
