Henrietta Margarita Briones, a member of the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians of California, pleaded guilty to firearm and drug charges.
Briones, 50, was out on parole when guns and drugs were found in her car in 2005. She is back to prison while the Board of Prison Terms determines how long she will stay there.
Briones was convicted of murdering an abusive ex-boyfriend in 1986. Supporters helped win her release in 2003 after she served 17 years on a 17-year-to-life sentence. She has been featured on the Free Battered Women site.
'Henrietta has been incarcerated since 1987 for a second-degree murder conviction for killing her abuser, who was literally twice her size (Henrietta was 5'2" and 115 pounds, while her abuser was 6'4" and 230 pounds)," the site said.
