A young white couple has been arrested for attacking an Alaska Native man and posting video of the incident on YouTube.
Robert Gum, 19, and Deanna Powers, 20, are charged with assault and harassment. They recorded themselves throwing eggs at a Native man and kicking him.
Anchorage Lt. Dave Parker said the couple yelled racial slurs at their victim. "Apparently they were targeting a Native individual," he told The Anchorage Daily News. "They found him and he became the object of their ire."
Parker said police received a tip about the YouTube video, which has been removed from the site.
