Tulalip Tribes find replacement for police chief
The Tulalip Tribes of Washington didn't have to look very far to find a new police chief.

Jay Goss, who ran the tribal police department between 2001 and 2007, was hired again for the job. “We called him up, and he said he could come back and make a commitment," Chairman Mel Sheldon told The Everett Herald.

Goss has a long record in tribal, federal and local law enforcement. He was an agent for the Interior Department, a police academy instructor for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, a police captain for the Quinault Nation and police chief for the Colville Tribes.

Goss replaces Scott Smith, who left the job last month.
