Witness list for Senate hearing on Indian gangs

A recent Department of Justice report blames gangs for a rise in beatings, gang rapes, elder abuse, home invasions and drive-by shootings on reservations. “Some tribes are ill-equipped to address this burgeoning crime problem,” the DOJ said, according to the Associated Press.

The hearing takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. The witness list follows:

THE HONORABLE BRIAN NISSEN
Tribal Council, Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation

MR. SAMPSON COWBOY
Director, Department of Public Safety, Navajo Nation
