Famed television game show host and animal-rights activist Bob Barker will meet with Chief Michell Hicks of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians today.
Barker is concerned about the tribe's cage bear exhibit. In a letter last month, he asked Hicks to stop the public display of the animals.
Hicks has said the exhibit complies with tribal and federal laws. He agreed to meet with Barker but has criticized People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for its handling of the situation.
Barker grew up on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota.
