United South and Eastern Tribes is hosting a strategy session on the U.S. Supreme Court
decision in Carcieri
v. Salazar tomorrow.
For people who can't attend the meeting on the Tunica-Biloxi
Reservation in Louisiana, USET will be offering a live feed. Coverage can be found at usetinc.org, starting at 9am Central Time.
The decision limits the land-into-trust process to tribes that were "under federal jurisdiction" in 1934. Tribes want Congress to address the ruling.
