Shooting will begin this month on a film about the Jack Abramoff scandal, Nikke Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily reports.
Kevin Spacey (American Beauty, The Usual Suspects) will portray the corrupt lobbyist. The pair met at Abramoff's federal prison in Maryland, to discuss the movie.
"Yesterday, at the prison meeting, Abramoff opened up about his former life, discussing how very little has changed on K Street since he has been in prison (and how very little will)," the story stated. "At one point during the meeting, Spacey was sharing his impersonation of Bill Clinton with Abramoff, while Abramoff shared a pretty good impersonation of Ronald Reagan with Spacey."
Spacey is researching the role in Washington, D.C. It was not reported whether he plans to meet with the tribes that were defrauded by Abramoff or whether tribal roles will be written into the story.
