Strategy session on use of Indians as mascots
Suzan Shown Harjo, the president of the Morning Star Institute, will be facilitating a strategy session on the use of Indians as sports mascots next Wednesday, April 29, in Washington, D.C.
The brown bag lunch discussion takes place from 12-1:30pm at 245 Second Street NE, by the U.S. Capitol. RSVP to Emily Nelms (202) 495-2948, enelms@gcorr.org.
Karyn Wingard Manuel, of the Friends Committee on National Legislation, and Suanne Ware-Diaz, of the General Commission on Religion and Race at the United Methodist Church, are co-hosting the session. FNCLS is located at 245 Second Street NE.
