Members of the Crow Tribe of Montana go to the polls tomorrow to choose a new chairman.

Interim chairman Cedric Black Eagle will face Leroy Not Afraid in the election. The winner replaces the late Carl Venne, who died on February 15 at the age of 62.

Black Eagle has been pushing to develop a $7.5 billion coal-to-liquids plant on the reservation. He supports a comprehensive water rights settlement that was introduced in Congress.

Not Afraid has questions about the coal plant and opposes the water settlement. He wants the tribe to back a different coal project.
