Pokagon Band breaks ground on headquarters
The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians broke ground on a new headquarters on Monday. The 19,000-square-foot administration building is located on the tribe's reservation near Dowagiac, Michigan. It will create a central location for housing, education, health and other programs. The project, which includes road, sewer and water improvements, will cost around $5 million, the tribe said.
