The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma has purchased a tire dealership for an undisclosed sum, Modern Tire Dealer reports.
The tribe bought Burggraf Corp last month from previous owner Joe Karnes. The enterprise includes two distribution centers and five retail stores.
"We were looking for a good business model. The company has run successfully under Joe. It has a good reputation," Chairman Jack Cross was quoted as saying. Cross will serve as CEO of Burggraf Tire.
The stores will continue to operate under the Burggraf name. The tribe will run one of the stores and the distribution centers.
