The Navajo Nation will benefit from nearly $3 million in the Fiscal
Year 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act.
The bill provides about $1.9 million for improved electricity on the reservation, $700,000 for the Navajo-Gallup water supply project, about $238,000 for transportation and $123,000 for improved telecommunications service, Sen. Tom Udall (D-New Mexico) said.
Overall, Udall said the bill provides $12 million for tribes in New Mexico.
