Dine College, a tribal college on the Navajo Nation, is hosting the 18th Navajo Studies Conference this week.
The conference theme is "Redefining Navajo Values and Practices for a Sustainable Future." The agenda includes sessions on sustainability, intellectual property, language preservation, arts and culture.
"The purpose is to engage the public in current research and information that pertains to government, language preservation, culture, anything affecting Navajo life," Lester Tsosie, the board president for Navajo Studies Conference Inc., told The Farmington Daily Times.
The conference takes place March 12-14 in Shiprock, New Mexico.
