The National Congress of American
Indians holds its 2009 executive council winter session next week in Washington, D.C.
Tribal leaders will get updates on recent U.S. Supreme Court activity, the Indian Health Care Improvement Act and education. Speakers include Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), Rep. Nick Rahall (D-West Virginia) and federal officials.
The meeting runs Monday-Wednesday at the The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center.
