The Blackfeet Nation of Montana is moving forward with a missile manufacturing plant on the reservation.
Pikuni Industries partnered with Radiance Technologies of Alabama to produce missiles for the U.S. Army. The tribe has received more than $3 million in federal contracts to start up the business but an additional $1.2 million will finally get the plant off the ground.
"We can say it is a reality now, general manager Warren Blackman told The Great Falls Tribune.
The business is expected to create 100 jobs.
