President Barack Obama warned of a "catastrophe" if Congress fails to pass the national economic stimulus bill.

The House passed its version of the $800 billion-plus package. The Senate is set to vote today after it cleared a procedural hurdle yesterday.

Both versions include upwards of $3 billion for Indian Country. The Senate version is more specific about where the money will go.

The House and the Senate will have to iron out their differences before sending a final bill to the White House. "I can't afford to see Congress play the usual political games. What we have to do right now is deliver for the American people," Obama last night in his first prime-time news conference.
