A group of knitters from the Cowichan Tribes in British Columbia will protest along the route of the Olympic torch relay.
The knitters are upset because the The Bay, the official supplier of Olympic gear, turned down the tribe's bid to produce Cowichan sweaters. Another company is now charging more money for the iconic Native design.
After the knitters announced the protest, the RCMP called an organizer to ask about it. "Are you really believing that you're going to protect the Olympic runners by investigating knitters?" B.C. NDP MLA Bill Routley said on Thursday, CBC News reported.
