A woman who said she was sexually abused by a Jesuit priest has formed a support group on the Flathead Reservation in Montana.
Dixie Trahan Brabender hopes other abuse victims can feel safe while sharing their stories. "People really get a lot of good out of just sharing the experience and realizing they're not alone with this," she told The Missoulian.
Brabender has been following a case involving sexual abuse by Jesuit priests on reservations in Montana, Washington and Idaho. The Tamaki Law Firm says time is running out for victims to come forward.
The Flathead Reservation is home to the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes.
