A police officer for the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota was involved in a fatal shooting on early Wednesday morning.
The officer responded to a report of an intoxicated man, the tribal police chief said. The officer fired a shot when the 26-year-old man brandished a knife, the chief said.
The FBI is investigating. This is the second officer-related shooting on the Pine Ridge Reservation this month.
