The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians will hold another election to decide two seats on the tribal council.
The tribe's election committee called for a new vote due to election law violations. In one case, a minor entered a polling place with a t-shirt bearing a candidate's name. In the second case, an election official opened a ballot box before the election was officially declared over.
The new election takes place August 25. It will decide representation for the Crystal Ridge and Tucker communities on the reservation.
