A top Department of Justice attorney has been removed from the case of a former Jack Abramoff associate.
William Welch, the head of DOJ's Public Integrity
Section , won't be involved in the prosecution of Kevin Ring, who used to work with Abramoff. Welch is under investigation for his actions in the botched case against former Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska).
