Pojoaque Pueblo in northern New Mexico is making it easy to stay healthy with an expanded wellness center.
The tribe opened the facility in 1998. Since then, it has added a pool, a cardio room, an aerobics room, more racquetball courts and new exercise equipment.
"Many people don't realize we're open to the entire community," Ravi Trujillo, the center's executive director, told The Santa Fe New Mexican. "It's really something for a rural area to have a wellness center of this scale."
Trujillo said visits have increased 25 percent in the last year. Business is typically up at the start of a new year.
