Authorities in Las Vegas recovered thousands of dollars in jewelry that were stolen from a gallery operated by former Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colorado).
Brett Clinton Combs is suspected of holding up the Sorrel Sky Gallery in Durango, Colorado, on November 17, 2008. He is alleged to have taken gold bracelets, necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings from the gallery, which is owned by Campbell's daughter.
Police recovered 20 gold bracelets, along with $400,000 worth of jewelry, $25,000 in smoke shop merchandise, several firearms and tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition. Combs is suspected in a string of robberies and burglaries in Colorado and New Mexico and a potential armored car robbery in Las Vegas.
