The Senate Indian Affairs
Committee will hold a business meeting and oversight hearing on February 5.
The business meeting is being called to organize the committee for the 111th Congress. Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North
Dakota) will stay on as chair but the Republicans are choosing a new vice chairman.
The meeting will be followed by an oversight hearing on Indian health care. The committee made a big push for the Indian Health Care Improvement Act in the 110th Congress.
The business meeting and hearing take place at 11am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
