An Oregon man was arrested in connection with the 1987 death of a Yakama Nation woman.
Samuel Posada, 41, faces a possible death-penalty charge of aggravated first-degree murder and a rape charge. He is accused of assaulting and killing Jenece Marie Wilson, a 20-year-old tribal member.
Wilson is among more than a dozen Indian women who died or disappeared on the reservation. Tribal leaders say they have never received answers in the unsolved cases.
Posada was arrested in Oregon and is disputing extradition to Washington.
