Shelby Lincoln Mark, an 18-year-old member of the Navajo Nation, hopes to make a career out of acting.
Mark has appeared in commercials, music videos and some television products. Last year, he landed his first starring role in a feature-length film, playing a teen in the independent production "Jordan," and he wants to do more work in 2009.
"I want to do two more movies this year," Mark told The Farmington Daily Times. "Maybe a horror movie or something with zombies."
Mark was born and raised in Shiprock, on the New Mexico portion of the Navajo Nation. He is enrolled as a freshman at the University of New Mexico.
