A woman from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the death of her boyfriend.
Kimberly Joyce Hiwalker, 43, said she was drinking and doesn't remember all of the details of the November 2007 incident that led to the death of Herbie Whitedirt, 41. But she admitted shooting him with a handgun.
In other federal court news from Montana, a woman from the Crow Reservation pleaded not guilty to an assault in July. A man from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation pleaded not guilty to a single count of felony sexual assault involving a 4-year-old girl.
