Indian child left under Nebraska safe haven law
One American Indian child has been left in Nebraska since the enactment of the state's controversial safe haven law.

The law was designed to allow parents to leave infants at hospitals without fear of punishment. But since it didn't specify an age limit, 35 children of all ages -- and from other states -- have been abandoned.

Lawmakers are meeting in a special session to amend the law.
