A man from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana was found guilty of stabbing a woman although the victim failed to testify in federal court.
Lars Rock Roads, 53, was guilty of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Prosecutors said he stabbed Barbara Spotted Eagle during a night of drinking in April of this year.
Spotted Eagle violated a subpoena by failing to show up in court, The Billings Gazette reported. A witness testified that he saw Rock Roads stab Spotted Eagle.
