The Yurok Tribe of California went to the polls on Tuesday to elect two council seats.
Incumbent Marjorie Donahue Buckskin defeated Jack Mattz for the Northern District.
Challenger David L. Gensaw Sr. defeated incumbent Ray Mattz for the Requa District.
A third council seat was settled when incumbent Sid Nix won the majority of the vote in Weitchpec District.
