Election Day is still a week away but Tony Belcourt, a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana, doesn't have to worry about winning his race for the state Legislature.
Belcourt won a three-way Democratic primary by just one vote. Since the Republicans failed to put up a candidate, he will be representing House District 32, which includes the Rocky Boy's and Fort Belknap reservations.
Belcourt is a former tribal council member and current CEO of the tribe's Chippewa Cree Construction Corporation.
