Committee calls for removal of 'Warriors' imagery

Carpinteria High School in California is being urged to get rid of Indian imagery for its "Warriors" mascot.

The Native American Imagery Committee recommended keeping the "Warriors" name but getting rid of anything that associates it with Indian people. That includes all paintings, logos, murals and other images at the school.

A member of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians complained about the mascot.
