Yavapai-Prescott elder sues tribe over building
Ted Vaughn, an elder of the Yavapai-Prescott Tribe of Arizona, filed suit in tribal court over a new building that he says will harm an historic home. Vaughn's grandparents, Sam and Viola Jimulla, lived in the home. The Jimullas helped found the tribe's modern-day reservation and served as the tribe's first and second chief. Vaughn grew up in the home but the tribe says he has no personal stake in it. Construction started in May. Get the Story:
