Al Franken campaigns on three reservations
Roxanne Not Afraid, a teacher at a public school on the Crow Reservation in Montana, has been named Teacher of the Year by the National Indian Education Association. "I'm so grateful," Not Afraid, a member of the Crow Tribe, told The Billings Gazette. "I'm no different than all the other teachers here." Not Afraid has been teaching for nine years. She's about to receive a master's degree in education administration. NIEA holds its annual conference later this week in Seattle. Get the Story:
