Rep. Feeney apologizes for Abramoff in new ad

Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Florida) is apologizing for his ties to jailed lobbyist Jack Abramoff in a new campaign ad.

Feeney said it was wrong for him to take a golfing trip to Scotland in 2003 with the lobbyist. The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas was pressured into contributing money that was used for the lavish excursion.

“I embarrassed myself, and embarrassed you, and for that I am very sorry," Feeney says in the ad.

Feeney is facing a tough re-election bid against Democrat Suzanne Kosmas.
