The Senate Indian Affairs
Committee will hold a business meeting on Tuesday to consider pending legislation.
Six bills are on the agenda. They are:
1) H.R. 5680, To amend certain laws relating to Native Americans, and for other purposes.
2) H.R. 2963, Pechanga Band of Luiseno Mission Indians Land Transfer Act of 2007
3) S. 3194, Oregon Surplus Federal Land Act of 2008
4) S. 3128, White Mountain Apache Tribe Rural Water System Loan Authorization Act
5) S. 3355, Crow Tribe Water Rights Settlement Act of 2008
6) S. 3381, A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Commissioner of Reclamation, to develop water infrastructure in the Rio Grande Basin, and to approve the settlement of the water rights claims of the Pueblos of Nambe, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso, Tesuque, and Taos.
The business meeting takes place at 10am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
