A 19-year-old from the God's Lake First Nation in Manitoba has been charged with second-degree murder.
Stuart Hastings is accused of killing Mervin Edward Trout, 47, on the reserve. Trout died early Saturday morning from blunt trauma.
Trout's family has been affected by a long string of violence. Of the seven adult siblings, only two are alive today. Three of them, including Trout, have been murdered.
