Indian students get a taste of college experience
Nearly two dozen Indian students are learning more about the college experience at Texas Tech University this week.

The Native American Summer Bridge Institute encourages Indian youth to attend college. It's already helped Kelly Kenneth, a 16-year-old from Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico, decide on her future.

"I want to help women and children," Kenneth told The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal of her plans to become an obstetrician.

The program is open to Indian high school juniors.
